JAIL411 / FAMILY FIELD GUIDE

A practical family guide to Haralson County’s current adult Sheriff jail in Bremen.

Sources reviewed

Haralson County Sheriff adult local jail at 137 Hayes Glass Drive, Bremen, Georgia. Excludes the stale 224 Holly Street directory identity, municipal police/lockups, youth, state/federal custody, community supervision, transitional, contract and historical facilities.

  1. Confirm the live booking

Save exact name, arrest date, warrant/case, court and displayed bond.

  2. Confirm the current address

Use 137 Hayes Glass Drive; call before any legal mail, visit or release pickup.

  3. Use separate channels

Personal mail scans in Atlanta; legal mail, documents, money and calls use different routes.

PART 01

Confirm the current adult jail

Current Bremen identity, stale Buchanan listing, lookup and boundaries.

Use the current Bremen jail—not the stale Buchanan listing

Haralson County Jail / Detention Division is the Sheriff-operated adult local jail at 137 Hayes Glass Drive, Bremen, GA 30110, 770-646-2011. The Sheriff says it houses pretrial, county-sentenced and state-sentenced adults, male and female, including people awaiting transfer.

The current Sheriff detention and county bond-hearing pages place the jail at 137 Hayes Glass Drive. GDC still lists 224 Holly Street, Buchanan. Treat 224 Holly as a stale/conflicting directory address; do not travel or send privileged mail there without confirming with the jail.

Search the live roster and save the court details

Open the Sheriff-linked current roster. Results show name, booking status, arrest date, arresting agency, days in jail, displayed bond, warrant, charge and court. Save the exact name, arrest date, warrant/case number, court and bond before paying or mailing.

If the person is absent, retry without punctuation or a nickname and check whether the arrest was municipal, recent, transferred, released, juvenile, state or federal. The roster is a current-custody aid, not a release guarantee. Call 770-646-2011 before travel or payment.

PART 02

Prepare for video-only visits

Published conduct, missing schedule and failed-session steps.

Treat every ordinary visit as video-only

The Sheriff states that all inmate visitation is through video chat and there is no in-person visitation. Conversations are monitored. Do not arrive expecting a face-to-face visit.

The page does not publish the current platform, schedule, advance-booking rule, session length, price, cancellation or failed-session credit. Call 770-646-2011 before creating or funding an account. Save the confirmation, time, participant name and any error screenshot.

Follow the published dress and conduct rules; confirm minors and ID

Wear clothing that is not low-cut, sleeveless, short, tight, see-through or otherwise provocative; the page specifically says women’s blouses must have sleeves and the midriff must remain covered while seated. A violation can end video access for a period set by Detention Command.

Do not discuss trafficking, threats, unauthorized financial transactions, security-threat groups, gambling or business transactions; do not make sexual gestures. The Sheriff does not publish visitor ID, minor/guardian, infant, service-animal, accessibility, protective-order or criminal-history rules. Confirm each exception before booking.

Document a failed video session before seeking help

The Sheriff calls the service “video chat” but does not identify the current vendor or publish support contacts. Start with the Detention Division at 770-646-2011 and ask which account portal currently applies.

If a session fails, keep the scheduled date/time, participant, charge receipt, error and screenshot. Ask the provider for a case number and the jail whether the failure was account, housing, discipline, lockdown or equipment related. No refund or reschedule rule was found; do not promise one.

PART 03

Use the right account and mail channel

Pay Tel, scanned personal mail, legal originals, packages and JailATM.

Use Pay Tel and solve blocks through the correct channel

The Sheriff identifies Pay Tel for inmate calls and lists 800-729-8355. It describes collect calls as the default and says cell/VoIP users generally need a Pay Tel account. Current rates vary; use the linked rate lookup before funding.

An accidental “7” block requires jail verification. The phone owner must provide a phone bill and photo ID in person, or fax them with a notarized request to 770-646-2059. Calls are recorded; follow the automated instructions. Ask Pay Tel about failed calls, account refunds and transfer/release balances.

Send personal mail to the Atlanta scan address

Address ordinary personal mail exactly as: JailATM.com – Haralson County Jail; Inmate name or ID; 925B Peachtree St. NE, Box 2062; Atlanta, GA 30309. The Sheriff says mail is opened, scanned and emailed to the person. Personal mail sent directly to the jail after February 28 is returned.

The page does not publish the year attached to February 28, postcard/envelope, page, photo, ink, greeting-card, language or rejection-appeal rules. Confirm them before sending anything valuable. JailATM says bulk mailings are not permitted.

Sources: Haralson County Sheriff: Inmate Communication · JailATM: Deposits and Services

Ask before sending books, photos or packages

The official page labels a section “Inmate Mail and Packages” but does not state which books, publishers, photos or packages are accepted, or list an approved vendor. Do not infer that JailATM scanning permits books, photo paper or packages.

Call 770-646-2011 with the person’s name/ID and ask for current publisher, format, quantity, content, return and package rules. Use written confirmation if possible.

Choose JailATM, lobby kiosk or the documented mail option

The Sheriff links JailATM for online deposits, accepts credit card, debit card or bank account, and publishes a $2.50 transaction fee. JailATM support is 870-627-5476, Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Eastern. A JailATM kiosk is in the Sheriff lobby.

The page also lists money order or certified check to P.O. Box 309, Buchanan, GA 30113. Obtain the inmate ID first. Confirm current limits, payee/memo, posting time, deductions, indigent supplies and refund/transfer handling; none is fully published.

PART 04

Protect health and rights

Medical and mental-health messages, grievances, accommodations and PREA.

Route an urgent family health message without emailing records

The Detention Division says it transports people for medical or other authorized reasons, but it publishes no clinical family-message line, medication-drop, records, hospital-notification or authorization process. Call 770-646-2011, state that you have an urgent health message for medical staff, and give only what staff request through a secure route.

For an immediate life-threatening concern, say so clearly and request the watch commander/medical response. Do not send diagnoses, medication lists or records to the general Sheriff email unless staff first confirm a secure process.

Use the jail for custody concerns and GCAL for community crisis help

For a person in custody, call 770-646-2011, identify the person and describe specific behavior, statements, diagnoses or missed medications. Ask for medical/mental-health staff and document the time and recipient.

The Sheriff publishes the Georgia Crisis & Access Line at 800-715-4225 and 988 for community crisis help. These are not substitutes for notifying jail staff about a person already in custody.

Sources: Haralson County Sheriff: Mental Health Help · Georgia DBHDD: Georgia Crisis and Access Line · Haralson County Sheriff: Detention Division

Separate the internal inmate grievance from a public complaint

No inmate grievance form, deadline, emergency/confidential channel, appeal or retaliation route is published. The person inside should request the current internal grievance procedure and keep dates, names and copies when allowed.

The Sheriff website links a public complaint process, but that page was unavailable during review. A family member can call 770-646-2011 and ask for the current professional-standards/command complaint channel. Do not assume an outside complaint preserves an internal deadline.

Sources: Haralson County Sheriff: Complaint Process · Haralson County Sheriff: Detention Division · Haralson County: Office of the Sheriff

Ask for the detention accommodation contact before a visit or call

The jail does not publish a detention ADA coordinator, interpreter request, accessible-video process or accommodation form. Call 770-646-2011 and ask for Detention Command, the request method and response time.

Haralson County Transit is wheelchair accessible and permits personal-care attendants free, service animals, oxygen and respirators; tell transit staff what boarding help is needed when reserving. Transit accessibility does not prove the jail entrance or video terminal is accessible.

Sources: Haralson County Sheriff: Detention Division · Haralson County Transit Service

Ask for the current PREA reporting route; none is published

No jail-specific PREA coordinator, hotline, written address, outside advocate, confidentiality/recording notice or follow-up contact was found on the Sheriff pages reviewed. For an immediate safety concern, call 770-646-2011 and ask for Detention Command; in an emergency call 911.

Ask whether a report may be anonymous or third-party, where written reports go, whether the call is recorded and how to obtain a status number. Do not use a state-prison PREA route unless staff confirm it covers this county jail.

PART 06

Reach Hayes Glass Drive safely

Unpublished entrance details, reservation transit and practical local contacts.

Navigate to Hayes Glass Drive and verify the public entrance

Use 137 Hayes Glass Drive, Bremen, GA 30110. Do not navigate to the stale GDC listing at 224 Holly Street. The Sheriff does not publish the visitor/bonding entrance, approved or accessible parking, overflow/towing rules, rideshare point, after-hours release pickup or accessible path.

Call 770-646-2011 before leaving. Ask whether the lobby kiosk and video area use the same entrance and whether parking is available during the planned time.

Reserve county demand-response service; there is no fixed jail stop

Haralson County Transit is reservation-based for county residents and serves all geographic areas. Call 770-646-2032 (TTY 711), Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.. Reserve next-day trips by 2:00 p.m. the prior business day; space is limited. Same-county city-to-city round trip is published at $3, cash or check, exact fare.

For September 29–October 5, 2026, reservation calls/service are supported Tuesday–Friday and Monday, subject to availability; there is no Saturday/Sunday service. This is not a timetable or guaranteed trip. No fixed stop or pedestrian route to the jail is published. Request 137 Hayes Glass Drive, ask for the main accessible drop-off and confirm the return pickup.

Use public contacts for a practical day in Haralson County

County libraries in Buchanan, Bremen and Tallapoosa provide public computers, Wi-Fi, fax/copy and job-search help. The Health Department at 133 Buchanan Bypass, 770-646-5541, publishes clinical and benefit-related services.

For food, lodging or other travel needs, use a current county/chamber directory or map and call the business directly; no particular hotel or restaurant was verified as jail-affiliated or within a safe walking route. The Sheriff does not publish visitor food/lodging partners.

Jail411 is an independent information resource for families and friends. We are not a government agency, jail operator, law firm or live custody-records service.

Can Jail411 tell me if someone is in custody right now?

No. Jail411 does not hold live custody records. Use the official locator for the county, state, federal or ICE system that has the person; start here if you do not know which.

Does posting bond mean the person comes home?

Not always. A probation or parole hold, another county's warrant or an immigration detainer can keep someone in custody after bond is posted. Ask the jail what holds are on the booking before you pay.

What should I confirm before visiting?

The person's current facility, the visiting schedule, approval requirements, accepted identification and arrival instructions. Check the facility page and its official sources before you travel.

What if I find something that needs correcting?

Send us the page and the detail that needs attention. Include the official source when you have one. Do not send private booking documents or other sensitive personal information.
