Santa Rosa airport / North County Detention Facility
Search the Sheriff Incarcerated Person Search or call (707) 565-1400 and confirm this is NCDF, not Main Adult Detention Facility. Then use this guide for 2254 Ordinance Road visiting, Pigeonly mail (code 2001), inmatecanteen money, and GettingOut video. MADF at 2777 Ventura is a different door.

Sonoma County Sheriff Incarcerated Person Search
Official Incarcerated Person Search (checked 2026-09-12): last name or booking number at inmatesearch.sonomasheriff.org/JailInmateSearch/Home/ after the disclaimer. Jail411 does not host inmate names. This building is North County Detention Facility, 2254 Ordinance Road, next to Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport, 7 miles northwest of downtown Santa Rosa (Directions page). If the roster shows Main Adult Detention Facility, go to 2777 Ventura Avenue instead. Facilities page: the site was the WWII Santa Rosa Army Airfield; honor farm from 1967; 15.3 acres with an agriculture program; historical rated capacity 559 until April 1997 when 172 people moved to the MADF expansion. Current rated capacity is not reprinted as a single live number on the 2026-09-12 Facilities page.

Three things to confirm before the trip.
Personal visits require an appointment on the live Detention Visitation page. Call (707) 565-1400 Tuesday–Friday 3:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. (no same-day sign-ups). Confirm the person is at NCDF — MADF is a different building on Ventura Avenue.
- 01Confirm NCDF
Search inmatesearch.sonomasheriff.org or call (707) 565-1400.
If the person is at Main Adult Detention Facility, use 2777 Ventura Avenue — not this airport-area door.
- 02Book the slot
Call Tuesday–Friday 3:00–9:00 p.m.
Live Detention Visitation Information (checked 2026-09-12) requires appointments for personal visitation, Saturday/Sunday/Monday, 30 minutes, max two visitors, check in 20 minutes prior. The page prints a 2025 MADF slot table and does not reprint a 2025 NCDF table. Locations still links an NCDF visitor flyer last revised 12/13 — ask the lobby which window is yours when you book.
- 03Arrive at 2254 Ordinance Road
Airport Blvd, then Ordinance Road — not Ventura Avenue.
Official Directions (checked 2026-09-12): from US 101 take Airport Blvd; just before the airport turn onto Ordinance Road. Visitor parking lot is in front of the facility on the left; no permits required. Bring accepted photo ID. Leave phones and bags in the car or a locker.
01 / Visiting
North County Detention Facility visiting hours.
Two official documents disagree in vintage. Live Detention Visitation Information (checked 2026-09-12) requires phone appointments ((707) 565-1400, Tuesday–Friday 3:00–9:00 p.m.), personal days Saturday/Sunday/Monday, 30 minutes, one visit per visitation day, max two people, check in 20 minutes prior. That HTML prints MADF hours starting February 22, 2025 and does not print a 2025 NCDF slot table. Sheriff Locations still links “Visitor Information and Guidelines (NCDF)” — DD 514 (Rev. 12/13) — with unit-based one-hour visits. Treat the 12/13 flyer as the last printed NCDF unit table and confirm the time when you book. Convicted felons need written Facility Manager approval. Recently released Detention Division inmates wait 30 days unless visiting a spouse. 24-hour cancel notice. Do not use the MADF February 2025 Ventura Avenue table for this building unless the lobby tells you to. Call (707) 565-1400. If the search shows MADF, go to 2777 Ventura.
